director's statement
This film isn’t just about jiu jitsu, nor is it just about Geoff Real. This movie is designed to empower people, disabled or not. My goal is to open people's minds to the world of sports outside of abled-bodied athletes. There's a rich history of athletes with disabilities achieving record breaking status that need to have their stories told. I want audiences to walk away not just inspired by Geoff's journey, but challenged to rethink their own limits.
Together, we must understand that just because someone may have a disability of some kind, it doesn't mean they have any less potential - they just have a unique circumstance. So sometimes, if not a lot of the times, the greatest fighters aren’t the ones winning the most medals, but the ones refusing to give up on themselves and continuing to pay it forward to the next generation.

I believe Geoff is a life-changing kind of role model that many kids could use in their lives.
